Property Tag and Reporting Application

Client: Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation

After a state audit report showed that a number of computers and other equipment couldn’t be accounted for, the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation needed a program to track IT equipment such as; desktops, laptops, monitors, printers and special external components. MSF&W consultants developed a .NET application in VB.NET that periodically stops the computer user at login and requires that person to enter property control tag numbers for their equipment. The application uses Active Directory and stores the information in a SQL Server database.
