Office of the State Fire Marshal selects MSF&W's Document Imaging Application
Springfield, IL June 30, 2010 — The Office of the State Fire Marshal begins implementation of MSF&W’s enterprise document imaging application, ID:webArchive, for their document management initiative. MSF&W’s ID:webArchive will enhance the Fire Marshal’s ability to ensure the security of confidential investigation files, improve the timeliness and responsiveness to FOIA requests, and relieve space limitations connected with current paper document storage. In conjunction with Illinois’ green movement, this system will reduce the consumption of paper on both the front-end and back-end of operations at OSFM.
After conducting a comprehensive evaluation of solutions from over 20 different vendors, the Office of the State Fire Marshal selected ID:webArchive for its pricing, integration compatibility and rich feature set. Additionally, Barcode recognition, Optical Character Recognition and the Thin Client Module were key components influencing the selection. ID:webArchive will readily integrate with existing OSFM applications at several points, allowing the OSFM to quickly and cost-effectively leverage its technology investment.
The OSFM plans to deploy ID:webArchive across all divisions to eliminate the cumbersome paper processes, speed access to critical information and improve the quality, timeliness and cost of service delivery.
Thousands of users have embraced the advantages of MSF&W’s ID:webArchive dot-net based solution. “ID:webArchive was developed to provide a high level of functionality at a low price-point.,” said Darrell Stoddard, President of MSF&W Software solutions. “Our product will serve the OSFM, and grow with them as needs change over time”
